Called on 29 Apr to make a reservation for 4 May. The young lady who answered the phone took all our information and we was told that another person would call later with a site number. We never received a call, just like all the other times we have stayed here. Upon arrival at the park there was nothing on the message board and it appeared all sites were either full or reserved. We called the host who came down with his list and of course we weren't on it. Luckily, there was one site left. Note to self: get the name and a confirmation before going to the park and if they don't call you back with a site number, call them back! I plan to stay long enough to talk the the manager before we leave. Park roads a a little small but we were able to get our 40ft 5'er in OK. Check out Spuds for great drinks and good bar food. Diesel fuel was $3.87 today.

On Apr.29th I called ITT to reserve a spot in the RV park for the night of Apr 30. When I arrived I was directed to a spot that was already occupied. When I told the person in ITT she said just take any empty spot. I informed her there were no empty spots. I realized these people did not have a clue as to what was going on in the RV park. I finally got my money back and left.

stayed a few days and left early because the weather was really bad, fog and rain every day, not sure what the problems are here but seems to be some sort of infighting with MWR personell, spilling over into the customers, mishell in the office was delightful, but the other young girl was very rude to everyone that came through the door. they have deleted most of the cable channels off their (fairly new)cable service, now have a half dozen lame channels. the only quality channel was the history channel and it had picture only and no sound. the park was packed to the rafters, don't quite know why this time of the year. place is headed downhill fast, too bad it had been really a good place to stay.

Only stayed for one night, but discovered that there are long term residents that have active duty spouses and contractors in the same status. Sort of limits the spaces. I agree with other reviews that the service should ensure that they have sufficient real housing space before they station a new family to the base. As for the facilities - pulled in on a Saturday, so nobody was around. After reading the whole board I discovered that my "assigned" space had been changed to one closer to the laundry building. For the most part, quiet, especially at night. Not a bad CG, but a little out of my way. Only choose it to keep my daily drives shorter. I would stay here again and maybe for longer than one night.

Well, as always lemoore is a great place to stay. amenities abound here, there is new management but they are pretty good to deal with, car wash works again so thats a big plus for me, they say they are planning to build a drive through car wash. cool ! now there is becoming a real downside to the park in the form of families being sent to lemoore with no housing available and they are setting up housekeeping in the r.v. park. not always a bad deal, but these folks are realy scattering out and keeping ratty campsites, i counted 8 bicycles in one campsite along with tons of kids toys scattered all over the place. and no one seems to do anything about it. this will kill your park guys, guaranteed! well, we hope they take charge and clean it up, hate to have to take our business elsewhere. and you know it really is a sad state of affairs that the navy will transfer a family to a new base without making sure there is proper base housing avilble for them.

Our second stay at Lemoore. Made reservations one day before arriving and we are glad we did. Park was full. Spuds has been completed renovated with new dining room and lounge. Great wings and their brews are all fantastic. Exchange and Commissary are close and well stocked. Diesel fuel is $4.34 today. We'll be back.

well, my 5th trip out west this year and 5th stay at lemoore. great place to stay in the central valley. rumor has it goodwill industries have taken over the chow hall, something happened for sure because the dinner was so bad, one taste was enough to make a billy goat puke. too bad, like i told the korean woman who was managing things, they aught to be ashamed of themselves feeding slop like that to kids trying to protect our way of life. i am contacting my congressman and DOD about this' good news is that tom is doing a stellar job as camp host, the place looks real nice, and no squatters. sad news is that crystal has resigned as manager, she will be badly missed, but she wanted to move on to bigger and better things. as always, a good place to call home.

well another fine stay at lemoore r.v. parkis in the books. we have decided we like it here well enough to store our r.v. here just to save on fuel. so lets see ? number one - the three girls in the office are as good at what they do, and so good with people, they alone are worth the cost of admission. number two -cable t.v. is finally working, we got 24 channels, a&e, usa, sports, etc. just a good combination of cable channels. number three - the food at the galley got better ! much better ! and only $4.00 for dinner ($8.00 over at camp san luis obispo)
number four - spuds !! yep the e-m club is open and doing well. free pool tables, t.v., game computers and computers to check e-mail. excellent restaurant, nice bar (a bit high priced, $3.50 for a draught beer). down side - little pool closed for the winter, big pool about 40 degrees (brr) sauna out of order, hot tub out of order, car wash out of order, hmmm ? all in all a great stay, got to take up close and personal photos with the blue angels team. little side story - mwr has not allowed a camp host at most bases. we had a problem with a squater over the weekend and had to play musical trailers for three days, crystal came in and layed down the law and straightened it out, by the time we leave here the r.v. park will officially have a camp host. watch to see if larry prints what i will send him when i get home. we all need to send e-mails to mwr and get them to open positions for camp hosts at all bases. still a bargain at 25.00 in my opinion.

you only have to check out the prior reviews to realize the last poster wouldn't be happy anywhere. lemoore may not be everyones cup of tea, it is out in the calif. desert, it is a busy base, and no it don't have a modern up to date nightime check in procedure. what it does have though is every amenity a park could ever ask for, all of which are available to anyone who has the authority to use this park. within two blocks are the gym (huge, with lap pool) the base swimming pool with water slide, the base gas station, bowling alley, chow hall, mcdonalds, e/m/ club, cpo club, church, hospital, and 5 blocks away the commissary and navy exchange. they complained about the $25.00 charge, right ! just try and find these kind of amenities in a civilian r.v. park, let alone for $25.00 most charge $40.00 or more for no where near the amenities. unless you are in a tent trailer (and you shouldn't be in this hot a place) why would you need the combination to the bathroom ? if there is no way to pay for your night stay, consider mailing the money in when you get home. i wonder if you did that? this is one of, if not the very best run r.v. parks in the system. crystal and holly bend over backwards to make people feel welcome. we stay here quite often. we like it well enough to store our 5th wheel at lemoore so it will be handy any time. i am really glad some folks don't like the place. leaves a spot open for us.

Our biggest problem with the Lemoore Naval Air Station Campground is the after hours check-in procedure. What check-in procedure? Not much information - no envelopes to leave money or to register and the telephone number for information (997-7000) is no longer in service or has been disconnected. We would not have had access to the bathrooms/showers if it had not been for one of the friendly campers in the RV park who gave us the combination. The bathrooms were clean with the exception of the women's shower. Obviously, someone forgot what a toilet was for. Really gross and a number no longer in service or has been disconnected to report it. Don't think the cable TV was working - had to use the antenna to get TV. The cost of $25.00 per day seems a little on the high side. Can't comment on the staff - didn't have the pleasure of meeting anyone. Would probably stay here again, but only in a pinch now that we know the "check-in" procedure. The park is nicely layed out, close to the amenities and the sites are level.

wow what can you say about lemoore ? lets start with clean, well layed out, free laundry, no wi fi, but hey, if you don't have a virgin mobile stick for your laptop by now, your "OLD !" swimming pool with water slide, lap pool, gym that makes gold gym pale in comparison, commissary and exchange, chow hall (don't go there - bad, really bad ) car wash, bowling alley, chapel, etc. etc. etc. within walking distance. where on earth are you going to find all that outside the base for 25 bucks ? "NOWHERE " and crystal and holly. what a couple sweethearts, you gotta see this place. i realize the r.v. parks are creeping up in price, but some are worth it. this one is !!

P.P. left this review using the Directory software: I really enjoyed staying at this RV park. The directions to find it were accurate. I enjoyed having all the amenities I needed right on base & I did not have to leave base unless I wanted too. The dog park could use some real grass or at least some water but that would not keep me from coming back. The girls in the office were great & very friendly. A good park to stay at for one night or several nights. We were given a discount on the nightly rate because the cable was out. I do hope they are able to get wifi for the rv park soon.

o.k. i don't hand out high reviews lightly, but this place is a gem out in the desert. first of all, crystal ! OMG what a virtual sweetheart. this girl knows more about lemoore than her age would ever lead you to believe. she was an absolute doll to deal with all the time i stayed here, she alone is worth the price of admission. the park - clean, well set up, empty this time of the year, lemoore naval air station has absolutely anything you need, plus 4 bucks buys you into the chow hall (however, don't ! the food is about as good as it was when i was a kid and had to eat here every day, and it might even be the same food) but there are plenty of places here to eat, good burger at the bowling alley. no wi fi at this time at the park, but i am using the wi fi at the base bowling alley right now. i e-mailed 30 photos to my wife, no problem at all. i know the central valley is hot, bug infected, and rains and is foggy, but hey who cares when your young and onery, right. try this place and be sure to tell crystal i said hi. dcc

We stopped for one night. The park is gravel road and all level gravel sites. The commissary and BX are not withing walking distance but are not too far away. The gas station is directly across the street from the campground and it does have diesel - the pump sits off by itself and you have to ask the clerk to come out and turn it on. She advised that they were going to get a new pump in the future. The Community Complex was closed due to remodeling. I thought the price a bit high for no more than was offered. But, free laundry facilities (4 washers/4 dryers) offset the cost of one night.

I needed a place to wait for a week or so for my travel companion to join up with me. My criteria included: within a couple hours of Yosemite, affordable, safe, nearby Commissary and Exchange, laundry facilities, gas station, dog friendly. The Lemoore FamCamp has all of this. It is not the most attractive or exciting place to be but that was not my primary focus. The staff are friendly and helpful. The dog park is huge - around an acre - and my two big dogs loved it. Unfortunately, many folks do not pick up after their dogs so watch out for the poop. This is a failing everywhere. No-one wants to step in dog stuff but somehow people can rationalize not picking it up after their darlings. Oh well. The laundry facility is free for RV'ers and there are 3 sets of washers and dryers. The Commissary and NEX are a 10 minute walk or (in my case) a 4 minute scooter ride. I did some banking, got my hair cut and generally caught my breath. Cable still not working ($3 daily discount) but was able to pull in several TV stations. The Wash Rack is currently closed, which was disappointing. I watched a man and his wife pull into an empty site with their fifth wheel and then proceed to wash it. They are not camping here, just used the site as a wash rack. Yes, its noisy but I am retired Air Force and find the roar of jets to be comforting. Street noise is easily blocked out with the windows closed and the AC running. I would stay here again if I had the same needs but the area itself is not too exciting.

Nice RV park that is off the beaten path. Made it through the truck gate just before closing at 4:30PM. Checking in was very easy. Work is in progress on the parking lot next to the park so be careful going in for a month or so. Walking distance to the Commissary and NEX and Nap's Grill which serves drinks and bar food. The stuffed mushrooms were outstanding. Very nice restrooms and free laundry. Cable was down so they discounted the price to $22. Still, a little pricey for a military park.

Not much has changed in the last year since I was here in 2009. The price of $25 a night was mandated by the regional command, and they did away with the weekly rate. Presently the CATV is not working, so they reduced the rate by $3 a night. I personally do not find it noisy. This time I am on site 9 where last year site 18. It was noisier as it is next to personnel parking lot, but more interesting to see all the activity. The trash is picked up once a week, but is left if the container is not full. Last year it was full every night, but this year four to five of the 18 sites are open each night. I guess the 70 degree weather in March helps me like the park in spite of the cost. I wanted to comment in ICE about their wash bay. It is in terrible shape and dirty with one bay closed. All equipment has been repaired wrong, if at all. But the only thing ICE allowed was to do with the Hospital. Also my 38 foot motor home will not fit in the bays, and can't wash it on site. All that being said, I will still stay here when in the area and it fits my schedule. Go Air Force.

First the good. The office staff is very friendly and bend over backwards to help. Free laundry. Nice level concrete pads for your rig. Having said that, each site is a concrete pad, surrounded by pea stone. There is a picnic table, BBQ grill and rubbish can at each site. The campground, as stated before, is across the street from the gas station. It is also at a busy intersection. Forget the jet noise, this is the noisiest campground I have stayed at yet. The noise from the jets is to be expected, and not that much. But vehicles at the intersection are very loud. Probably about half have the louder mufflers to make their vehicles sound more powerful. This combined with almost constant traffic all day and up until about 2200, make for a noisy campground. A lot of the units here are people in here for training, so they are gone all day and no complaints with them. The cost of $23 a day or the weekly rate of $140 seem to be a little high for this place. There are some good things about the base and I guess if you take advantage of all of them, you are getting your money's worth. But, $23 a day is high. As stated in another review, it is a good place for a jumping off spot for Sequoia National Park.

Lemoore is in the middle of nowhere. The Ticket n tours office where nice. The sites are good, easy in easy out. Free laundry is always a plus. The gym is right next to the RV park. The gas station across the street. Stay away from the resturnat called Naps. My wife and I both got sick after eating there, plus a little pricey. This RV park is just to costly, $23.00 a night. We used it as a launching pad for Sequoia National Park. It is about 1 1/2 drive from Lemoore. Something to think about if the National Park is in your plans. Three Rivers, CA, had a couple of nice looking RV campgrounds.
