The old campground, just off the entrance, is nearly vacant and overgrown. The back section of the newer area seems to be long term. The front area more transient and was perfect for our needs. It was clean and well maintained. We avoided the “Tunnel” by using directions posted elsewhere and settings gps to 14’ clearance. This way in was fine. I couldn’t post a video of the 13’7” tunnel taken from the car. It’s doable but I’d take to alternate route. The Algiers Ferry to downtown NO is 30 minutes away, free on street parking and easy. Drops you off by the Aquarium. .80 a day for Seniors. Use the RTAgomobile app to purchase tickets.
