TOPIC: Camp Rilea Oregon

Camp Rilea Oregon 6 years, 4 months ago #134

Has anyone stopped at Camp Rilea Oregon,I am curious if the 30 ft maximum RV length is inforced ???

Re: Camp Rilea Oregon 6 years, 4 months ago #145

We stayed there several years ago and at that time they didn't enforce the length rule or the no pets rule. To be safe, though, I'd call. We've been curious about whether they now enforce these rules, so please post some info on the forum if you do call.

Posting info on the forum is great, but also submit an update and/or review on the campgound so the information page also gets updated.

Thanks!

We stayed at Rilea in fall of 04. FHU on blacktop with nice restroom and shower facilities. Campground book is way out of date and campground has been significantly upgraded. Can accomodate any length rig. Sorry I do not remember any info on charges, but they were reasonable.

We stayed in '05. No length restrictions, and they do have full hookups. There are only a few spaces, on pavement right next to gate.

Just tried to get a spot in June but couldnt get past the gate guard. The keys to the camp ground are maintained in the billeting office (located elsewhere) and a key is left at the gate only if you have a reservation. No reservation, no key, no entry.

Oh Well!

Would like to add Oregon has a great program for any Service Connected Disabled Veteran. They offer ten days of free camping at any Oregon State Park. You can only stay for up to five days per park but it is a great program and even open to a retiree from Montana. Go the the Oregon State Parks web site and check out the info under Veterans.

I downloaded their application and sent it in with my VA Letter and had my pass in about ten days. The free camping covers all of your hook ups and catv if available.
