Anybody else out there bored?

Yep and I knew you would get it as you were here about 6 months ago. We do like it here as it is quiet and utilities are strong and our big beast fits in a site with room to spare. Once again the price cannot be beat by any other campground in the area and having 12 spaces for RV's that stay 2 to 4 weeks is adequate here as there are some sites open every day. This is a military campground that has a large designated area for folks needing long term and homesteading and I can understand and accept them staying for long terms as we all know some folks fall on hard times and this is an optional lifestyle for them. As said before if a military campground wants to allow long term stays (maybe more than 3 months) and homesteading than state it in the rules right up front and have a designated area for the long term stays so we all know what to expect and can make a decision to stay based on the rules.

Let's see, Sarge says Foster Creek, Monkey says Ft Benning.

Well, which YUP is it?? We were in Benning six months ago, and Sarge was in Foster Creek? Guess we're both right ...

Monkey44 what happened here is when I responded back at 8hrs. 41min and said yep I knew you would get it; your response what not there yet as yours was at 8hrs.50min. so your guess of Ft. Benning was being input about the same time as mine was so Sarge3398 was the only one that responded that I could read at that time and he was correct.

So there Monkey!!! Nyah, nyah, nyah.... :laugh:

That's okay John - it's the only time you've even been right, and it seems that was only an accident of timing. SO, you get one just to make you feel good.

Hey - where are you? I'm leaving for the north next month and up the BRM. Heading up to visit my son and Genie's flying up later and we're heading to the west coast. Will you be in NY again?? We'll be tripping through Buffalo then south and west around Chicago - gotta miss that one, traffic thru there is like sitting in a parking lot.

I'm busy getting my new camper ready to roll Bill, so I'm still here in Jawja. Heading down to Florida next month to see a friend of mine, then a few of us are meeting up at Pelican Roost on the 21st of April for a couple of weeks. From there, it's up to Pointes West for the Spring Get Together with the mob for the month of May.

I'm taking my grandkids to Fort Fisher at Kure Beach, NC when they get out of school the beginning of June for our annual "Please Papa, Give Us A Break From Our Parents!!!" vacation. Then back to Georgia for the birth of the two newest grandkids...my daughter is having twins. Guess I'm gonna have to get a bigger camper in a couple of years! LOL

I'll be in New York, but not until August. From there, who knows?

I know what you mean about Chicago, but if you time it right and there's no accidents it's not TOO bad. I usually stop the night before at a PA campground in LaPorte, IN and leave the next morning around 7:30. It's about an hour and a half from Chicago and the rush hour traffic is pretty much over by the time I get there. I breezed through it last year on the way west, but I drop down to I-80 and don't head back up north until I'm past Chicago. Good luck!
