If it does, I'm not aware of it.

If anyone knows or finds out, please share all the information with us.

On a map of Southern California, look in the middle of the blank space to the northeast of the Los Angeles area, i.e., the Mojave Desert. Look for the intersection of I-15 and I-40... that's the desert paradise of Barstow. Now look to the northeast of Barstow for the large, REALLY blank area and you'll find Ft. Irwin.

The Army has built one of the most high tech, advanced training facilities in the world there. Nobody else wanted the place!!(Not even the Marines, who have their own version at 29 Palms, but as you might expect, that is much less high-tech!

Thanks

There is a lot of chatter her about places that are identified without a state or by the CG name only.

I've spent my entire life with an ID in my pocket (brat, there, retired) but there are still a few places that I don't know about.

I asked Mr. Google and he sent me to China Lake, as I zoomed in, there it waz!

Thanks

I guess the answer is no.
The reason I needed to know is because I might have a temp job there and it's just easier to live in the MH instead of hotel rooms.
I'll check out the Barstow area.

Try the military campground at Barstow. I understand there are some deeply entrenched, ah, "homesteaders", but there may be space. Its not far from the interstate, too.

Yes, there is an RV park on the base at Fort Irwin, cA. It has lmited sites and is akin to dry camping. Many who are there are contract employees or soldiers waiting for housing. The hosts are very picky and refrain from giving you any insight as to reservtions, facilities, etc.

It is located behind base housing.

Very poorly maintained.

Commissary and Exchange are miles away.
