Mid-Bay is 14 mi. from Eglin AFB (commissary/BX). Good for water sports, quiet area, (some sound from the bridge, but not bad). Grounds have only showers & laundry, no other Bldg. except a 15x15 office at the gate. It's about 4 mi. or so across the bridge to Destin, good for shopping, dining, & a larger beach with the larger boats & the gulf. Draw back that I can see is the toll bridge (2.50 each way, per car/M/C). Only a very small ground for kids, beach is about 30 feet wide. It is natural ground, no concrete pads. That said........I'll be back next Yr. :-)
