The campground at Sigsbee has so much potential...but it fails on a few levels. First the date I entered is an old date I am actually writing this in 2019 because I had to put in a date. I cannot stay at the campground although I would love to, because I don’t own an RV...the campground is very much an RV preference Campground. Those of us who cannot afford an RV or cannot have one for other reasons are relegated to tent camping...but the Sigbee campground limits the spaces for tents to just a few spaces, on a rocky, grassless, dirt edge right on a roadway ....why can’t a grassy section of the actual campground be set aside for tent campers?? Why must we be treated like second class citizens because we can’t afford an RV??? The Navy is all about equality And fairness...but this is not equality or fairness...I will be contacting the Commanding officer of the base...
Condolences from a fellow tent camper who's been turned away from several famcamps because I preferred a tent vs a rolling condominium. My retired money gets allocated for travel fun vs making payments on an ostentatious rolling palace.
