Stopped on the way south, easy to get to off US 301. Bathhouse was clean and warm! Called when we reached the FamCamp and they gave us a site, than drove to MWR to sign-in with just the pick-up. It would have been tight to drive our 42 ft 5th wheel there and turn around. Small FamCamp, but easy to get around. We had site 2, which is a pull thru. Looked like the only one.

Not much has changed from past comments here. There are long gravel sites. NO bath or laundry rooms. Off base about 2 miles, the NEX is down the road about 1 miles. The sharp turn off or onto Stringham Road is bad, better to go down RT 114 to Green Ln and turn there. Great location to see Newport and lower RI.

The full hook-up sites were taken when we arrived, but there plenty of water & elect sites. Famcamp is off base on back side of airfield. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. There are two bathroom building and a one laundry room. Close to Boston and a lot of history sites. Local traffic is busy.

We stay at site 10, which had a beautiful view overlooking the ocean and the sunrise in the morning was just outstanding. It was already stated that there are only 11 sites with full 30 amp hook-ups, but some are Big Rig friendly. We have a 41' 5th wheel and had no problem getting to our site. There are a couple of overflow sites with no hook-ups. The staff was very helpful and the snack bar had breakfast on the weekend. The Bathrooms are old and could use a better cleaning. Idea spot if you like fishing a small walk from your site. If they are having a special activity planned, it will be posted here. It was their Octoberfest weekend when we were there, which was a pleasant surprise. They had a German band, German food and Octoberfest beer.
