What a nice "in the woods" place to stay. The lots are extra large. Great location for visiting the Grand Canyon. When we came in the gate, the Guard said nice to see a military id." I looked at him funny and that was when he told me the FamCamp was open to the public. So, the people next to you may not be military affiliated. The baths and showers and laundry are extra clean. I used my AT&T aircard with no problem. We only have antenna for television and received two channels, ABC and a Spanish one. The camp host was really nice. This really is a great stop-thru camp. If we had more time we would hae probably stayed longer.

What a wonderful place to stay. The kids loved it. There is a playground. The staff is really nice. Great place to visit Hoover Dam and Vegas. The only thing that could be improved is small laundry facility. Hard for more than 2 people to be in at one time. They do have two laundry facilities. Overall great place to stay. Spots are huge and give lots of room.

The scenery is really nice here. The only thing we did not like was 4 RV's hooked up to one water source. Packed like sardines at times. I think they originally planned for cement sites and then discovered they could squeeze two gravel sites between the concrete sites. Parking nose to tail, tail to tail, nose to nose, all out of wack. Make sure you have plenty of hose to reach water source and make sure you have a faucet y incase you need it as well. We did not spend much time in camp because we were visting friends. The laundry was ok, have to run dryers twice for jeans and towels. I never used bathrooms so can not comment there. Had to ask other guest for key code. Common Area Room key code did not work. Hard to catch office open and never recieved any return calls when messages where left. Great place to park the rig if visiting friends, but that was about it. Oh yea, playground is great for kids!

We showed up with no reservations, no problem. We decided to extend in order to receive a UPS package. While doing laundry (I use liquid soap) the washer stopped half way through cycle. Maint. man accused me of using to much soap and that is why it broke. (They might consider not selling powder soap if their machines are getting cloged with to much soap). The elder lady at the front desk is always eating, reading or doing crossword puzzles and neglects the customer. When asked if my package arrived she told me no. I checked online it said package was delivered, went back to office and asked again and was told no. Another lady heard the conversation, went to the back room and found my package amongst deliveries, she brought it to our RV. The elder lady just did not want to check. The cleaning crew came in the comman area and all they did was empty trash and sweep floor. No mopping, no cleaning of counters, toilets or sinks. The park is pretty and right by the lake, but would be even prettier if they cleared some underbrush from the grounds. Handy location for sight seeing in Seattle and Mt. Saint Helens. No diesel on Ft. Lewis or Mchord. I believe there is a lot of long term people.

This is a nice place to stop thru. We stayed here so that we could go look at light houses and waterfalls. The famcamp is basically a parking lot, but you have full hook-up and cable. The base is well kept and nice looking. There is a laundry room w/ 10 washers and dryers and the cost is FREE. We only had one day of gun-fire, the rest of the time real quite. There is a small PX that is open from 11-5pm Tuesday-Saturday. Front desk people are great, really nice and willing to help you out. You do have to check in at billeting to get a key to unlock your service box. Do not worry, plenty of room for big rigs. We manuevered our 40 footer around nicely and carefee. Spot 10 is the best because it is right on the end leaving space to park your vehicle. The 20.00 a night seemed a high to me, but then again there is cable and free laundry.

I guess these reviews just go to show that every experience is different. We originally arrived around the 16 of March. And then caught a hop to Hawaii and returned on the 1st of April. When we first arrived, Tony was very helpful on helping us get our rig backed in. While we left for Hawaii, he made sure our rig and truck was watched over (we stored with park instead of using long term storage, long term is a mess.) Upon returning from Hawaii, Tony helped us get set up again. We were greeted with smiles and waves the entire time we were there from Tony and Mary. Tony even gave my 2 year old a ride in the golf cart! There are rules but that is why this park is in great shape. The grounds are very well kept, bathrooms are extra clean. They do their job and do it well!Everytime I needed to do laundry, there was washers avaiable. 1.50 to wash, .50 to dry. If I had taken other reviews to heart, I would have never stayed here, but I took a chance and enjoyed our stay very much and will return. The location is great for sight seeing in this area.

This base is a perfect location for doing sight seeing in LA and Hollywood. The base itself is a little less desirable. The guy at Gate 3 would not even think about getting out of his hut to assist with a pass. He even made me take the paper tag from my back window down to show him instead of just walking out and looking at it. Gate 1 people are great but, the barracades make a person pulling a 40 ft 5th wheel very nervous. We barley squeezed through. When we checked in the saff member did not give us the codes to showers. I do not think staff keeps park up very well. No Diesel on base. FamCamp in light path and engine testing facility across street. Now, for the good stuff.....The beach and view is amazing. The kids loved it. We watched them from our window playing, we watched seals, dolphins, and birds a plenty. While there was may down falls, the beach and location makes up for it all.

It is very quite and peaceful. It is the perfect stopping point for a couple of days on your way to California. The rates are excellent. And the best thing, free laundry! The camp host is very friendly and so were all the other campers! You will not get any TV without satellite, but there is a lounge with cable. The sites do not have cable and have not for years. Or, you could just attend the nightly bombfire and talk with other campers. It was a short stay but we really enjoyed it. Oh yea, take bottle water with you. Each site has a water purfying unit for drinking water. It puts out 1-2 gallons a day. And buy the water before you head out because there is no major retailer in the direct area. The park used to be a mobile home park so the spots are very large, pull through, no problem areas with lots of space between sites.

What a great place to stay. We were in overflow for 4 days without incident. The children loved the skate park, youth center leaves a little to be desired. I had to mark somethings down but nothing major. There is no diesel on base. The laundry room is very small and crowded. No weekly rate. The rotation system is great, 21 days and move to overflow. But they forgot to mention that the people in "the horseshoe" do not go by this, they have paid for 6 months upfront, they do not have to rotate. Park is very clean and well kept. Momma Bear and Pappa Bear are the nicest host. This is a great locations for all site seeing. Weather is great as well. We where able to get 3 packages while there with little problems. We do look forward to returning at a latter date.

The camp host, Ralph and Mary, are the nicest people! We even went through moving from a class A to a fifth-wheel and they were great and helpful through our process. The older kids enjoyed the youth facility and the baby loved the age appropriate playgrounds on base. The laundry and baths are clean. The only bad thing I could find is the prices at the Main Exchange. DO NOT buy RV items there. A water filter is 27.00 and for the same filter at Wal-Mart is 17.00. Just to give you an idea of price differences. Would recommend a filter, water is hard and I do not like a rainbow film on my morning coffee! Price is excellent. We will return at a later date.

A great view of the Franklin Mountains. A nice park with great RV sites. There is some active duty staying in park which was fine with us because that meant there was kids there for our kids to play with. We arrived thinking we would be in overflow for 2 days and was only there for 2 hours. They are quick to get you a spot. Bathrooms are great, wifi in family room will reach to some sites. AT&T aircard was in and out to say the least. The fenced playgroud was perfect for our 2 year old. Everything really clean. Would recommend to others.

We stayed here for a week. The kids really loved the Youth Center and Teen Center. MWR has a wonderful facility and lots of scheduled activities to include paintball. There is also a skatepark here for those skateboarding fans. This is a large base with everythig you need. The FamCamp is small, but the base makes up for it. They are adding additional spaces, construction underway. This is a great place to take kids, just all activities outside of FamCamp. Will return, per kids request!

Wow, what more can I say! We loved this place. The staff always have a smile on thier faces. I askd if they where given happy pills each morning! The camp host are very nice and helpful. We are traveling with 3 kids and they did not want to leave. Ok, here is my top three: 1. Great location, beautiful location. 2. Lots are well spaced to provide lots of room. 3. Staff is the best! My bottom three: 1. No playground (plenty of room for one guys!) 2. Hummmm, can't think of anything else! I received excellent signal with my Cingular AirCard. Was able to connect at anytime.
