We stayed here for Memorial Day also. It is a great park and the staff was outstanding. Brand new sites with everything you need and very close to water country USA and Busch Gardens along with Williamsburg and of course the Williamsburg Pottery and Outlet Stores. Easy access from I-64. Would highly recommend this park to anyone. I will be back often.

We had a great time here at Oceana Pines. Very close to Virginia Beach and also Dam Neck Beach. The base and commissary are within 10 minutes of the park. The base has two swimming pools (one is a waterpark, I believe 5.00 pp to enter for a day) the other pool is free, right next to the officer's club. The facilities were immaculate. The only reason I gave a 4 for cleanliness/hospitality is because there is no cable or wi-fi. The host Laurie was very helpful. When reserving a visit, understand that you will not be given a site number. When you enter the CG you will have to look for an open site, this was the only issue I had. If you come in after dark it could be tough to find a site if you are not familiar with the layout.

Our visit to Cheatham Annex just put the icing on our vacation. We spent 5 days there, had Spot #01. Perfect for my 35ft Winnebago Sightseer. The CG itself is very quiet. The small exchange onbase has the basics. There is an 18 hole golf course within walking distance of the CG. They also have a pool open Wednesday through Sunday. The MWR team were just great while checking in. Perfect place for a family reunion, they have cabins (former government housing) for rent at a very reasonable price, but they go fast so you can reserve 6 months in advance. Also the have a Navy Gateway onbase (former Navy Lodge) another great deal. You are within 3 miles of Water Country USA (right outside the gate) no turning, about 15 minutes from Busch Gardens and about 20 minutes to Williamsburg Pottery. This was a great place and we will visit again.

This CG was very nice, Phil and Vicki at the RV MWR were very helpful. We stayed in the upper level area on a concrete pad. Everything was fine and it is very quiet. Great location to stop and visit St. Augustine, about a 30 minute drive from the base. Base has everything you'd need -- commissary was great and MWR Ticket center had all that you would need including the trolley tour of St. Augustine -- check there first before going outside for tours. Bathrooms and Laundry Room were very clean. Would definitely come back.
