We Love it at Great Pond, great for families and friends. Our son graduated from U of Me in May and we had him and many of his friends out for a cookout graduation weekend. The lake is pristine and there is so much equipment available for rentals. In September we returned with three other couples and had a great time for the five days we were there. It is ideally situated about an hour from Acadia Natl Park and an hour from the Canadian border if you are traveling to the Maritimes. Judy and Debbie were great and had lots of info. Beautiful cabins for rent and we hiked out to the yurts and they look really comfortable and are remote enough for a real get away. Our company from Florida were really impressed and already are planning for a return visit next fall. The campground looked nice as well with spacious sites adjacent to the lake and stream that flows into the lake. The staff has done a good job in updating the facitily and really go out of their way to help make your stay special.
