We were greeted by very gracious, friendly and helpful hosts. Stopped for only one night but have loved to stay longer, great campgrounds.

Small, quiet and beautiful campground and the only improvements would be the addition of sewer at the sites and a laundry somewhere on base. All staff were wonderful and the galley was great.

Not much bang for the buck here. Very neglected with only one rule, don't touch the golf course. Dirty, dusty and packed like sardines. Another USN site that is in dire need of attention.

Great campground, very quiet. We stopped for a one nighter without reservations and got a site with full hookup. Staff was very helpful, especially the guard at the main gate who recommended an Italian Restaurant the Palazzo Giuseppe in SLO that was absolutely outstanding.

What a beach!! Unfortunately it goes down hill from there. Difficult and small parking sites, the good ones occupied by long termers, a couple of them were actually growing veggies at their sites! Other amenities are virtually nonexistent. I think with some, well maybe alot, of TLC the USN could turn this into an outstanding facility. As is I would only return for the beach.

Return visit and it was as excellent as our last. Staff extremely pleasant, especially Clarence, and very helpful. Remains #1 on our list. Only minor problem, the ants drove us nuts!

Nice out of the way spot, great location for seeing the area sites. Good level and large gravel parking sites and very quiet except for an occasional train. Restroom and laundry were very clean. No host on duty but the guards at the gate were extremely friendly and helpful.

No host on duty upon early afternoon arrival so we drove through camp ground to pick a site, however some sites were blocked off and 2 sites, maybe more, were unusable as the occupant of the neighboring sites were using both sides of the shared water utility leaving only electrical and sewer available. This must be standard operating procedure as later in the day someone in a pickup drove through the campground whom we later saw parked at the host's site, my guess he was the host, and those sites using both sides of the water remained hooked up that way. Otherwise the restroom and laundry facility was very clean and the parking pads were large and level.

Beautiful setting and host was extremely accommodating! Stayed here to unwind and do some sight seeing during an extended trip, mission accomplished. Train noise out of their control and I could foresee a dust problem if there was heavier traffic. Hope to visit again in the future.

Stopped at camp without reservation, had called earlier but received no call back. Asked attendant, probably Howard, in office if a site was available and was curtly told that a spot in the dirt with electric was the only space available. The attendant was extremely unfriendly at best and he looked at me as if I were a pile of doo-doo. Base command should pony up for some people skills lessons.
