Comfortable park with excellent location and access to base and local facilities. Price is high for 30 amp, no internet, no cable tv. Our famcamps should be able to match or beat local passport america discounts in the area. I have traveled a lot over the last three years and it seems that so many are raising their prices to approach the $20 threshold with little added amenities.

Great Staff, Lots of room. A bit overpriced considering there is no cable tv and weak internet reception in the park. Suggestions made to the manager include revamping this reservation occupancy policy to allow other than fulltime snow birds to occupy the park in the desirable winter months. No reason to not have a rotating system similar to Davis Monthan AFB AZ. As a minimum, leave half of them open to non winter homesteaders. Most positive not was the outstanding dental care my wife received at the base dental clinic. She arrived with pain in a tooth just filled at our home before departing. The staff saw her space available and tended to her needs by properly sealing the filled tooth and applying a fluoride treatment. We could not be more thankful to that group of professionals.

Great base for the facilities available to visitors. You must check out the dining facility. Retirees can eat there at any time and it was superb. Now regarding the campground. My biggest complaint is that the price went up $2 a night since last year with no improvement I could see. Wifi as advertised would have been a great improvement but it was down the entire ten days I was there. When asked I was told a workorder was in to Verizen. Why no sense of urgency if the Air Force is paying for the service? Services personnel staffed the office and maintained the area. Frankly I could not see one thing that the camphosts were responsible for. Finding the camphosts will be no problem. They are full time across from the office. They have a large enclosure around their entrance to their 5th wheel and have FIVE Dogs that can usually be found in that enclosure. Go Figure... Don't expect too much empathy if you happen to have a dog complaint in this park. Next year we will probably continue past this location.

I can't add much to the description or experience that has not already been said. The price has gone up $2 since last year, but nothing has improved. Very odd way of charging for reservations. I was charged two nights upon making the reservation and my other two nights before I arrived. After arrival when I inquired I was told they normally charge 2 nights before arrival and the remaining part of the stay upon arrival, but since the office manager was not going to be in she just charged it before I arrived. I would hate to deal with a refund if I would have been unable to arrive as reserved. Hopefully the improvements planned will make this park as great as the location in CA.

This is our second visit to this famcamp. In one year I saw a remarkable decrease in the overall management of the park. Indifference is the best word I can find. Laundry room was never cleaned behind the dryer while we were there. Everything else was surface clean at best. Keeping wifi connected or re booted was a chore. John, during the day never could figure out what seemed to be an easy task for the two other camp hosts that shared time managing the place. Base personnel were very courteous during the entire stay. Maintenance and a "full time" camp host willing to get things done should be a priority.

The nicer newer park is off base which is a little inconvenient to facilities. The on base park is not bad at all if you can get by with 30 amp. Certainly worth looking at before you commit, since it is within walking distance of many of the base services. We had a pleasant stay here. While there be sure to take in the Lewis and Clark Exploratory Center.

Very busy during our stay since it coincided with Sturgis Rally. Several cycles in the park upped the noise level, but again probably due to the timing. This is a great location to see the many attractions located in this area. We were in overflow a couple of nights. It is really far from the camp and right off the flightline. Hopefully you will not be there long. Overflow movement through the park was well managed and the hosts did a nice job of maintaining the park.

As at Fairchild, the very first right turn is Fairway. If you miss it you will not be able to use the directions provided to the famcamp. We arrived into the park to find a short waiting list in overflow. When trying to get through the park to dump tanks and fill with water we busted a leaf spring and shock on our trailer as we fell into one of the "many" potholes that could not be avoided. From that point the camp hosts (Skip and Deborah) and the camp manager Josh were very emphathetic and helpful in assisting us through our situation. At their suggestion a claim will be submitted to base legal since the roads have been in need of repair for quite some time and had been reported. Now to add insult to injury, two days after our problem the base ground maint crew is onsight filling potholes. As the camphost said, kind of like putting up the stop sign after the accident. After three days my rv was fixed, they allowed me to assume my position as next in line for a site, and am now on a lovely secluded 30 amp site. The 30 amp sites have only W/E but we think they are much nicer than the 50 amp full service sites. Two blue boys are available for your use if you choose the 30 amp site. If you come here, be very careful on the roads. The gravel filling in the potholes will surely only last a short time. Hopefully they will keep up with the maint or repair the road. Now I am hoping legal will respect the claim and accept responsibility for the neglect of the roads. There is not service one cannot find on this base. The local area attractions are many. One final note- Dirks truck repair just off base was highly responsive and very reasonable considering the hoops they had to jump thorough to get on base twice to service my rig.

Many improvements have been made since the negative comments left on this site. Please note that when entering the base the very first street is Fairchild. It is not marked with any street sign that we could find. If you miss this turn then obviously the remaining detailed instructions to the famcamp are of no value. The hosts that greeted us are doing their best to manage the park. The base has many walking and bike paths to enjoy. Would return to this famcamp and found it to be excellent value.
