I found this campground to be a good place to visit, considering the previous reviews. The restroom (mens') was very clean and the grounds looked in good shape to me. The campground is divided into two areas which are adjacent to one another. A new area with concrete pads and full hook-ups and an older section with grass and gravel pads, some with hook-ups and some without. The newer area is essentially without trees and the older area is mostly wooded. The older area is really much more scenic. The RV park lacks staff actually on site and a place for campers to congregate. I enjoyed this place and would surely visit again.

Outstanding fitness center, just 1? miles away (easy jog, walk or bike ride). Nice library with a great selection of DVDs that can be checked out for a week at a time (up to 3 DVDs per library card). Nice playground just outside the campground for kids with a fitness obstacle course nearby. They are adding a splash pad for children at the playground this summer. Nice campground which could use a few (planned) improvements as far as hookups and site paving. Office staff and hosts are super friendly and accommodating. Be prepared for sparotic helicopter/jet activity as well as occasional use of the shooting range located inside the campground. Beautiful sunsets and great location outweigh the few drawbacks.

Campground could be a great place to go if management took an interest in it. Grass always needs cutting, restrooms are not cleaned as they should be and there are no rules being kept as far as dogs are concerned. There is no limit to how many dogs you have or no concern as to how your dog is kept when you camp there. There is no designated pet area so campers let their dogs go on other sites or on the roads. Some camper clean up after their pets but some do not. If management would check the dryers, they could see how animal hair is in the dryer vent screens. When you check in, there should be information packets handed out to you outlining the rules and regulations of the park. Management needs to be more visible at the park and be more availabe to the guest. An office should be established on the camp ground site. This campground is a big money maker for MWR.

I agree this is a very tight campground.. The new RV'S have a hard time getting around...Great Staff!! Great View!! Go during the winter season the rates are $280.00 a month with full hook-up,with Cable TV/Phone Jacks!

Campground is divided into Upper and Lower Half. Upper half is all full hookup, seven pull-through sites, (sites 39 ? 45), and some back-in sites (sites 31 ? 38 & 46 ? 50). The upper half is partially landscaped, open and without obstructions. Lower half is all back-in sites, some very narrow and contains full hook-ups (sites 1 ? 5 & 10 ? 12), some partial hook-ups (sites 6 ? 9 & 13 -17) and some primitive/no hook-ups (sites 18 - 25). The lower half should be avoided if possible due poor/lack of maintenance of the overhanging and dense branches and foliage. Also, the interior road is very narrow, with trees at the very edge of the roadway. I spoke with two reservists who have stayed at the RV park several times, Each indicated they have complained of the lack of maintenance and resulting damage to their respective RVs. Management seems unresponsive to those complaints. My view - the lower half should be avoided at all costs! Rating of the lower half - ZERO.

We did not stay here but drove through on a reconnaissance. Facilities look very nice with gravel sites. The brochure says full hookups but since we did not stay there, we cannot vouch for that. Fairly open but good separation between sites. The ?canal??not sure how to describe it... is close to the CG but not a part of the view. We did not see a swimming place.

Very nice area for RV camping. It is alittle tight but well worth it. I have been going there since 1991, first time with a RV. It has some of the best people working there in the office. You can't beat the view!!

Nice, clean, quiet spot even though the RV's are a bit close. Beach is close with easy access. It is inland waters on the sound so the water is pretty calm. We will stay again.

This is a hard one. The CG is pristine with cement pads, nice grass, tables, grills, great price in a high end resort area, and the latest in hookups (cable and phone) etc. The pool is great and nearby. A great view of the bay from the shore area. Great pier and boat rentals. Very nice staff. Centrally located in Destin. So, what?s so hard? This is a case of what are you looking for? There?s no view in the RV Park. It is very tight from the time you come in the gate. I was within inches of the RV across the street as I backed in. We (and most others) cannot use the very nice BBQ grills because they are under the slide. With a 35? MH backed all the way in, there is barely room for the Grand Cherokee to be parked sideways in front of the MH. Pets are tolerated but you get 3 different handouts saying what are common rules in most RV parks?and, pets cannot be taken, even on a leash, outside of the RV park. Alas, this is probably because pet owners in the past have not done the right thing and us Army guys tend to over react. Again: this is a very nice park. It is pristine. If you want a view, this is NOT the place. If you want a very nice park with all of the other many amenities mentioned, this IS the place.

Great place for families! The staff was friendly and very professional! We stayed in the hotel room. Our friends stayed in a cabin. These were awesome! The carpet in the room was a little musty, but that pales in comparison to all the other wonderful amenities! We felt safe. The weather was perfect. The pier was a blast for fishing and fellowship! We will return. I hope we can get a cabin!

I really like this FAMCAMP. Especially if you are lucky enough to get one of the newer spots. They are big and level and pull through. MWR people are real easy to work with. The MWR Office (where you check in) is a little inconvient, as it is not located in the FAMCAMP. It is on the housing area west of the FAMCAMP. Last year when we stayed there they had inmate cleanup crews come through and keep the area picked up. I was advised this year that was not longer available, so the campground needed some tender loving care this year. BX and Commisary are very convenient. Library has high speed internet service available.

Clean camp area but I have to agree that it is tight for trailer and 5th wheel parking.

Check in for both campgrounds is now at Camp Robbins Campground. You can no longer check in to Postal Point Campground at Outdoor Recreation so do not follow the 7th Street/Flagler directions until you have gone to Robbins and checked in. 50 amp rigs are NOT allowed at Postal Point even with an adapter. Attendant says the CG is so old the breakers cannot handle 50 amp rigs. ONLY straight 30 amp rigs are allowed at Postal Point. Internet connection available free at Base Library. Excellent campgrounds, both beautiful with spacious sites. Camp Robbins is completely full of snowbirds who have a 90 day stay but 30 amp rigs can get into Postal Point, which has no sewer hookups but a beautiful view of the bay. Dump station available. Waiting time for Camp Robbins is estimated at "several weeks." Overflow dry camping also available. Excellent facilities on base.
