This is a great facility, it has all of the amenities you could want but the park needs trimming. It is so full of brush that the trees even lay in next to your unit. The stumps are right behind and beside your unit and that makes it easy to hit them with your rig. They charge extra for every day you stay for being close to the lake. You can't even see the lake from most of the sites. They also charge extra for 50 amp service. There is a nice BX and commissary at this base and it is close to the fam camp. We never needed the bathrooms so I can't rate that. The wi-fi don't work in the campground except for about 4 spots. Someone stated there was a discount for monthly rates but I never seen that. The staff was helpful.

When we visited the grounds were not in good shape. Weeds high and the whole campground looked unkept. This facility is way out in the desert, and far away from anything. The commissary and exchange is close to the famcamp and within walking distance. It is well stocked. The famcamp is next door to the swimming pool which is indoors. The host is very friendly and helpful. Overall I think they need to come into the famcamp and clean up the weeds.

When we arrived after the closing of the office on Sat. the host Jack was not very friendly as when he came to his door of his motor home he asked if I had read anything on the porch of the office and indicated that I should have and not bothered him. Then a couple of days later he was very loud and obnoxious when asked a question about staying and paying for the site and taking the RV off of the site to go someplace for a few days. The office manager was very helpful and courteous. As of today there are no dry sites available.

We spent 11 nights here and enjoyed every minute of it. The host Steve and Molly are always there with help when needed and serve the campers well. Everyone here this winter was friendly and nice people. There is a campfire burning all of the time 24-7 and all of the firewood is provided by the campground. They have some 30 amp and some 50 amp. service. It is quite and have a least one pot luck a week and some times two. They never turn anyone away without offering them someplace to park for the night. The lakes here have a lot of catfish and bass. I will stay again when in the area.

There are no amenities available here. We stayed in spot # 1 which is supposed to have 50 amp. but it only has 30 amp. No sewer. No bathrooms or showers available here. It is located right beside the runway where C-5's take off and land 24 hr. a day. The noise don't bother us but it would if it was warmer and the windows were open. The commisary is pretty good. Not much more can be said. I would not go out of my way to come here again.

The location being it is located close to N.Y. City is great. Also because it is located next to the most beautiful and well kept Army Post in the world is great. I think they charge more than what it should be because of the amenities. They only have 30 amp. in most spots and a few 50 amp. No sewers, and limited water hookups. Only a few of the sites have access to getting satelite. I will note that the staff, especially the maintence personell are really helpful. The area going into and out of the park are a little challenging but we made it ok with our 40' and tow. The two hour tour of West Point via bus was really great because it took us to the grave yard where a lot of history lays. (punn) Overall a great place and I would return if in the area. I would say the campground is not big rig friendly but you can get around if you are careful.

We stayed there for one week in site #10 on the cliff. It was a good site and a great view. Didn't use the showers or the BR's. Had a great stay except it rained 5 out of 7 days and the wind blew hard for 5 out of the 7 days. That isn't Fourth cliff's problem though. I would go back there if in the area. There is a great fresh sea food wholsale place right down the road where you can buy fresh lobster and fish pretty fair priced. A lot to see in the area.

The fam camp is in a good location and convienent to things to do, but the sand is not so good for the RV. There are a lot of 30 amp. spots but the 50 amp. spots are taken up by the homesteaders. There are at least 20 RV's that are spending the winter here. They even have built skirts on the bottom of the rv's. The campground closes for the winter on Oct. 31, but the homesteaders are allowed to stay. It is next to a civilian airport and the planes take off all day long until about 10:00 PM. They don't seem to bother us though. Overall I think I will come back if in the area. Like said before the host Bernie and Davvy are great people and very helpful.
