Great campground, Great Staff. Some RV sites are testy for larger RV' but there is ample help for getting in. Our youngest son lives in the area and the Lake is just beautiful and only a short drive to Atlanta. So quiet and peaceful. Easy access to the lake and beach and other activities. Only a few RV sites but all the cabins have great lake viewing morn, noon and evening. Only draw back I saw was to many permanents living there. Well kept secret there among Lake Alatonna, Ga.

I like this campground because it is away from things but close to visit, as usual it is by the airport but I have no issue with that. Staff is friendly and very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. 20 miles to Boston driving and subway a shorter distance. This time of year is hard to get sites that you can use satellite but we got sewer and good local reception for TV. Plenty of sites with W & E. We have been here before and plan to return again if in the area.

We were welcomed with a detour to start our hunt for the campground but the local badges were at the bridge to steer us right and we were quickly on Bayberry Street and across the other bridge to Central Ave and down to the campground. What a friendly staff. We got to site # 2 and though most of the sites are tight because of parking they are adequate and the views from the sites are nice to super depending on which you are at. Lots of cabins and and just lovely atmosphere. Couple rainy days but only for a few hours and one of those we were on Cape Cod and saw no rain. Lots to see and do. Internet at the office but not on the the end of CG. For the money it is a good deal as it is pricey down town. We want to come back and spend more time as it is very relaxing there. All the reviews are pretty accurate so I need not carry on.

Nice campground and a friendly staff with knowledge of the area. Though the hill is steep I found it not a problem in a 35ft RV with a explorer toad and using second gear up (1st gear once for 75 yards). I had no issues going up or down towing. A beautiful area with much to see. 1 hour or so to NY. The base has all amenities and it is a well kept base. No sewers but a honey wagon for nominal fee. Restrooms adequate. Lovely lake with lots for kids. Some sites are tight but manageable. I would love to go back and spend more time. No Internet connections and difficult for satellite except for those that are there for extended periods. Those sites go quick to students and active. Just to see the academy is worth the trip.

Well this is a great campground and convenient to Baltimore, MD and Wash DC. very nice and roomy sites. Staff very friendly but not much help on how to get to places. A little pricey but not bad for the area. The NSA gate is a little bit to move through but adequate. I was told later that if you have a mil decal on the RV you can go through the other gates. There has been some construction going on so a couple gates are closed and this construction creates problems getting around the base. There are signs but small and the Wilson street sign has fell off the pole causing more than myself to miss the road. The grounds are very clean and the showers and restrooms are very well maintained. We will return again.

This is a very nice campground. Clean, level cement pads, good power, water pressure. large lake with nice view. Will come back here again. Friendly host and in quiet location. The only thing that is bad are the gnats. I agree with just about everything everyone said.

VRY NICE CAMPGROUND AND WILL RETURN> For the size of this base it should have wi-fi and a little more lighting on the far end of park. Weekends is a little difficult for accessing to campground due to gate closings. We love this palce and it is close to all facilities. Museum is a must here.

I have been to this campground numerous times from when it was only 18 sites to present. It is a nice place with a friendly staff. A quiet retreat with lake nearby. With progress so goes cost and they now are at $16 and that is to me high for a mil camp. There are to many homesteading construction workers (dod) here which limit the # of sites for travelers that retired and even for active mil. There is no reservation system so you gamble coming in if on a holiday week. The wifi is pretty good with 4 antennas but at times it shuts down though not for a long time. This a good campground but there are areas that could be improved for active and retired members.

I have found the previous reviews to be accurate. The Roy gate is the way to arrive. It is an average campground and adeguate for the area. No internet but the Library is a short drive away. The host has seems to have found a nice job with little effort. There is great potential for this FamCamp if the effort was to be put in instead of excuses as to why nothing can be done.

What a wonderful experience with Desert Eagle. A superb intro and campground presentation. One of the best I have had. Very informative and great and friendly staff. Close to everything locally and only short drive to Hoover Dam. Grand Canyon in a couple hours. What a nice place to visit. wifi good elec. Only drawback would be summer heat, can't have everything in life so come on out and enjoy Desert Eagle RV Park. I think the only thing I found strange here was tht they don't give a discount to disabled Veterans ( not even 100% service coonnected) but if you belong to the O club or the NCO club you get a discount. What is that about?

Made reservations via phone to very professional and polite lady. Arrival was a little dicey but got there without a lot of problem. Campground was beautiful with the facilities all clean and maintained. Super staff. Nice pool. Very nice sites. Deer wandering thru the sites. Great boat access. Great experience. Will return.
