This our second time staying at this campground. We checked in at MWR office and setup on site 1. Never did see the host but thats OK we knew our way around. Seems like a lot of building going on. We asked for site 1 since it was accross from the RV park office to get a better WiFi signal but the WiFi was so poor that we could not get a resonable signal. Other than this we really enjobed our stay.

This is not our first time in Charleston but our first time at this campground. We did not have any problem finding the campgrounds. We came in on Sunday, found an empty site and setup. The camp host came by to see if were needed anything and was very helpful. We had to wait until Monday morning at 11:00 am to check in, so we slept in and then went to sign in. The MWR office staff was nice but lacked knowledge about tourist things to do in the area. The campground was quiet most of the time. I was in site 58 and although I could get a wifi signal, I could not connect at all to it. We have Verizon cards so we could still get on the internet with them. Commissary, Exchange, Gas Station, and McDonalds were close and well stocked. This area has a lot to offer in the way of tourist things, and we definitely will be back.

This was the first time we have stayed at a Military Campground. This has to be the best campground we have ever stayed at. It was a little hard finding it the first time but with a little help from a MWR rep I found it. The staff were very nice and helpful. The site was #35 and right across from the Roost. Very clean shower room, free laundry (had no problem getting in), and a great day room and kitchen. We were able to bake using the kitchen and it was convenient and fun. The small store on the base was just down the road and the commissary off base (just down from the main gate) was also useful. It was close to the ships with a great view of the shipping lane. We had a great time and strongly recommend this campground.
