Camp host, Hershel was waiting when we arrived. We had a choice of three sites and after making our choice, Hershel was there with brochures of the surrounding area and a map to expedite our trip downtown. Although there is no showers or laundry facilities in the immediate area, the location makes up for any shortfalls that may be there. A really nice mall just across the street, wal-mart just down the road and the exchange and commissary a couple miles across the post. Downtown and the riverwalk area are a straight shot from the campground. We will return!!

They have just put in six new pads! The only problem, they are so close that anyone with a awning or slideout will be on their neighbors spot. They need to rethink the whole process. Looks like an engineer that has never camped designed the layout. We spent 9 days there, the area is very historic, but, the traffic and attitude of the locals were so poor that I would rather be anywhere else. Maybe the campground upgrades will help the campers attitude of people visiting. Base has a very nice exchange and commissary, well stocked. Security forces personnel were very nice (had to check my weapon into the armory), escorted us to the armory and then provided directions to the campground. Won't go back, but, it has nothing to do with the campground.

If only someone would take a little time with the bathhouse, it was really, really in a bad need of cleaning. Camp sites were very well maintained, camp host was there ready to help. Security needs a little more attention to the Saturday night loud music. Nothing anyone can really do with the unruly kids, parents seem not to care if they throw rocks at the ducks and run freely between campsites. These were not camp site kids but the ones in the cabins that were only out for a couple of nights so the parents could party. Got them everywhere! Thanks for a good time guys and keep pushing for sewer hookups!

Great group of folks! We really enjoyed the stay, not counting the weather (nothing anyone can do about that). The only concern was the laundry facilities and hopefully that will improve in the future. Thanks for a great time and really look forward to the next game of Po-Ke-No(George, keep up the good work ). Bingo and ice cream were really nice also. Thanks to all.
