This was our first trip since the big storm. The camp is fully recovered, the camp hosts were very nice, we stayed for 11 days recently and found the place clean and run very well. There is a noise problem, the civilian neighbors just across the fence plays loud music and there is late night parting going on. The camp/ military does not have control of it. I think we just need to put up with it. This is nothing that would stop me from returning. It is a short drive to the ferry to down town New Orleans. The city has recovered and in my opinion it is cleaner and safe than it was before the storm. Algiers seams unsafe, I would not want to take the return ferry after dark.

The camp hosts were very nice, we stayed for 9 days recently and found the place clean and run very well. My motor home developed a maintenance problem and the camp host did his best to help me. It is a short drive to Biloxi, casinos and the beach. We were in overflow but we had cable tv, electric and water (if this is overflow I'll take it) I think Keesler would be a nice place to stop and rest for a few days if you are traveling interstate 10, try it I'm sure you will like it.

I agree with Hoselrocket's evaluation, I was there 29 June - 1 July 2007, the RV park was almost vacant. There is no shower facilities and I don't think they have a plan to build any. I checked with the lady in the office and she stated that they only take self contained RV's. Cingular or A.T&T cell phone service was very good. I would stay again. It was easy to find, every one was very courteous especially the gate guards. Just for your information, Cedar Point RV park quoted me a price of $80-85.00 a night.
