Stayed at new campground located close to PX/Commissary area. Stayed at old camp ground few years ago and will not go back. They are building addition to the campground. Which will give many more spaces and a laundry room. The electrical box and water in the existing spaces are positioned at the head of the space. Thus you have to park rig up in the space or bring extension cord and more hose. They have corrected this problem for the sites being built now. There are far too many homesteaders in this camp. Seems civilian contractors have priority over military personnel here. Staff is nice and helpful. Few campers left dogs out to bark late at night.

MWR staff is great. Nice facilities on base. Key West is close by to both campgrounds. The people staying at Sigsbee are very nice. The old crowd at Trumbo are a bunch of nasty rude people. Some of them think since they have gone to Trumbo for years they own the campground. They will tell you that the rules do not apply because they have been there for years. The gossip mill is alive and well at Trumbo. The stories about new comers and anyone else they don't like get bigger with each mouth that passes the BS story on. Some of those old farts staying there need to get off their high horses and realize there are others in the world. The campers at Trumbo run a mile long garden water hose to dump their black tanks. Despite the fact that such is illegal. They leave the cap off the sewer when using their garden hose to dump their black tanks. Be down wind you will get a good wiff of it. Someone needs to put a stop to this unhealthy practice. Environmental health and state authorities are being contacted by a few of the campers here who also see this as a health issue. The base commander will receive a written letter of complaint about the black water dumping with garden hoses and no "doughnut" being used. Generator are to be turned off at 11 pm. Despite this rule, which is good for all campers, a few in class-A motor homes ran their generators well past 11 pm. (Moderator note: The rest of this review has been deleted since it caused a lot of controversy.)

As many military RVers know, this is the home of the head Nazi Tony. He is mickey mouse about everything. A handicapped camper next to us pulled their car up in front of their RV to unload groceries. Tony's wife (second in charge Nazi) ran over there and without asking immediately got on this handicapped lady for "no second car parking...no second car parking" Despite the fact the lady told her she was unloading groceries and had the four way blinkers on. Then head Nazi Tony arrives on scene. He was more of a nasty nazi than his wife. The people went and complained to the MWR office. They soon realized, like all of us, that complaining to the main MWR office about Tony and his wife is useless. I am sure there are many other such stories from other military campers. Bottom line: Tony needs to let go and go somewhere else. It has gone to his head. He is not the base commander but acts like it in a very nasty rude way.

Stayed at the on base campground. The facility on base IS NOT big rig friendly. Spaces are small and tight. Tow vehicle and car has to park in parking lot across street. We stayed in row closest to cabins. What a mistake that was. A large group rented two or three cabins and decided to have half the student diver population there for a party. Someone called the base security because the yelling and screaming by the drunks was too much after 11 pm. The party would see the police arriving and hold it down. As soon as base security departed they went right back to being drunks screaming and yelling. The next night same show. Same base security but this time with three vehicles. Again as soon as the security departed right back to the party. The people staying in the cabins had no regard for RVers. One RVer had neighbors dog crap under his rig. He addressed this issue with his neighbor and they seemed to care less. Addressed it the office and the manager did speak to the dog owner. Speaking of dogs, the party crowd in the cabins had a large black dog in the cabin. Despite rules that that say they can not have pets in cabins. The dog barked at night. To my knowledge nothing was done to the people who stayed in the cabins. Guess RVers don't rate there. The rest rooms were dirty. No laundry facilities at the on base location. Will not stay there again. The off base facility has nothing by it. You have to go out the electric gate in vehicle cannot walk out. Laundy is located at the off base location but on base RVers can not use laundry at the off base location. Makes no sense.
