November 16th?, 2008
On our cross country move in our TT we only picked a few famcamps to stay at and dry camped at truck stops for the other nights... We got in real late and were accommodated without complaint and the host was super friendly. The only Famcamp we made a major effort to it was this one. And it lived up to the reviews no problem! It was great and we plan to stay there again!!! Pros: super friendly/helpful host, cheap laundry, clean laundry and bathrooms, little lake with fishing, close to gate, location (just a few miles off the 40). Cons: no internet, a little small.. had some trouble pulling out.

Pros: location convenient to many bases and sights, playground, large park nearby, cable, level concrete pads. Cons: a little pricier then other famcamps but not too bad, internet was outrageously priced, pads were small, laundry a little pricey but average among famcamps. In need of updating, bathrooms were not very clean on weekends but we didn't use them often. Also a little tight on the drive area, hard to turn around and get in and out with the TT.

we stayed for two days in the parking lot hook up area. It worked for what we needed but I wont be back. We arrived in evening and had to go to the inn to check in. Only able to pay for one day. Then next morning had some less then friendly gentleman tell us if we wanted to stay had to go pay now, camp was filling up. ummm... had to chase him down and ask where the heck to pay at! Pros: location, very level. Cons: homesteaders (it one thing if you have reservations but to not offer res. and be constantly full?), no host, strange check in process (its 3/4 mile away at the rec center) , no internet access, need long hose to reach water, no cable, and NOTHING for kids.
