Nice campground and good location. Reservation process was quick and friendly. We also called a couple of hours before arriving and given our campsite on the phone. Check-in was very quick. Staff at MWR/Campground check-in were very friendly, helpful, and efficient. (Good job ladies!) Campsite was clean and access was easy. Sites were plenty long for our 40 ft 5th wheel and parking for our 22 ft pickup. Shower house was very clean. Did not use laundry. Our vehicle sticker had expired 12/2012 and due to only Army and USAF facilities locally had been unable to renew the sticker. Security here does not require sticker for retirees, only active and permanent party. Retirees only need ID card to access.

Office hours are limited on the weekend. Office is located on the exit side of the campground. They trimmed and mowed the grass while we were there. The mower and trimmer threw grass clippings on to both sides of our camper and truck. Just not very considerate. We stayed a week and noticed several trailers and motor homes in the full hook up section that had been parked there a while and no one around them for the entire week. It's an "OK" campground - not the worst in the military but definitely not one of the best.

We called twice trying to find out if they had spaces available. Both times the responses we received were "I don't know." The first time the female said that 1/2 the sites are closed for renovation and she didn't know how many campers were in the campground or if any sites were open. She said she'd have to talk to her boss to "find out what was going on" and we could call back. We called back and she knew nothing more than before. She said her boss did not know how many sites were taken or if any sites were available. She was not at all helpful and made no attempt to be helpful. We stayed at Holbrook Pond on Ft Stewart instead. The young woman at Holdbrook told us the sites at Lotts were now all open. On 11 July we drove to Lotts to look it over. None of the sites were marked closed and all appeared to be usable. The campground had that run down look and needed mowing and some upkeep. Some issues to watch for if a person decides to stay at Lotts. When coming in the gate the turn is tight if you have a big rig. Quite a few of the sites would be difficult if not impossible to get into if a person has a big rig. Trees are close to the site so backing into the sites could present a problem particularly if someone is camped across from the site. Other sites are pull thru and would present no problems.

I hate to give the location a "2" but that's because it's a ways to anything either on post or to Savannah. Downtown Savannah is about a 40 minute drive. The PX is about 7 miles. Amenities was given a "2" because of no services near the campground. Now for the good. Very clean, well shaded, quiet campground. If a person is looking for a quiet place to sit in the trees and relax then this is a great spot.

Great view of the river from nearly everywhere in the campground. Everything was kept clean. Restroom/shower house was always clean. Staff was good to deal with and very helpful.

We stayed here for the last shuttle launch. Our 2nd time at Patrick AFB. Banana River on one side and the Atlantic on the other. Great location. Once again it was an excellent facility. Everyone we came in contact with were very nice people, from security on the gates to the BX employees. Ralph, Mrs Ralph (can't recall her name), and the other host (never got his name) are class acts and do an outstanding job. When we arrived Mrs Ralph was already off duty and the office was closed but she had told us on the phone to see Ralph. Ralph took care of us.
Even tho all of the full hook up sites were either taken or reserved there were plenty of other W/E sites which suited us well. By the time the launch date came the campground was full with at least 1 in overflow. Campground was clean as usual. Showerhouse was always clean. No AC in the showerhouse which may or may not matter to some. It didn't matter to us. There was WiFi but it was very unreliable. The signal was strong but it would only stay connected for a few seconds to a minute or so then drop off.

We gave the amenities a 1 as there isn't anything at the campground other than the campground. We did not find this to be a problem but don't come here expecting a short walk to a PX, theater, or other such facility. It's just a nice place to camp. Definitely not one of the top rated milcamps. Sort of had a state park feeling to it. Just a campground. The road off the highway to the campground is paved but has a few holes. It keeps the speed down. Sites appear to have at least some shade and some are fully shaded. They are spaced far enough apart so you don't feel like you're too close to your neighbor. Some noise from the bridge traffic but it wasn't too bad. Restroom/bath house was always clean. Cable TV on our site was unwatchable. Picture was usually so grainy that you couldn't make out what was on TV. We eventually gave up hoping the picture would improve and went to OTA. It was not a big factor as we were not there to watch TV but it would have been nice to get reliable news. WiFi was slow but reliable. Manager was very friendly and helpful.
