- Military RVing travel club. Originally founded as a retired military RVing club has recently opened the Associate Membership category eligibility to HONORABLY DISCHARGED VETERANS. The club has structure consisting of local chapters, geographic & at large regions, and a national staff, and holds musters (military term for RV rally) at the local, regional and national levels. The club currently has over 1600 members, over 50 chapters, 9 regions, with activities throughout the USA. They also run RV caravans comparable to commercial caravan companies but at significantly reduced cost (about 50% less). S.M.A.R.T. regularly runs caravans to Alaska, Maritimes, Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, and usually has 2 to 4 additional caravans each year. Planned 2011 caravans are: Alaska (65 days); Canadian Maritimes (60 days); Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta(11 days); Oshkosh Experimental Airshow/Wisconsin area(21 days); Music Cities-Nashville/Memphis/Branson(18 days); Grand Circle Southwest (30 days); possible others.
