Hi all; I retired from the Air Force in 1994 with 26 years of service. I have been working for the US Navy ever since. Well its that time in my life when it time to give up Govt service and move on when its all said and done I will have a combined 42 years govt service. My wife Cindy and I will be retireing to Pawleys Island SC (2011). We are looking forward to traveling probably 3 months out of the year. I just had double knee replacement in Nov and I dont know why I waited so long. I am now looking forward to a whole bunch of golf this year.

MB is a favorite destination and enjoyed Pawleys Island courses. Good luck with your retirement plans!

Greetings, I was in the Air Force 1966-1970. Served at Minot AFB,4 bases in Viet Nam 67&68 and finished up at McDill,FL. Wife and I live in Michigan and travel to TX, NM & AZ during Jan-May. Retired from GM and have VA disability which allows me use of military facilities. Have motorhome and we are anxious to travel again in Jan. We stay mostly at military parks.

Greetings all. Spent 7 1/2 years on AD and fourteen plus in the reserves nearly all in what is now called Force Defense (was Air Police when I started). Both of us now retired from civilian employment and travel as much as we can. Spend winters in either Florida or Texas volunteering in state parks. When we can, we use military facilities, but do not go out of our way just to do so.

Good morning fellow 'Airmen'! We need to energize our AF Group -- I've been retired since Oct 1994 and enjoying every minute. RV'ing is our hobby and passion, exploring this great country with our two girls (Bichons). Add your 2-cents.

Envy you your get up and go. Hubby still working so we are short term campers. Haven't had much luck with military campgrounds but thought I might pick up some tips on this site. Happy trails to you and the 'girls.'

Hi Everyone. Not sure if I fit here but gonna try. I've (Rick) spent 9 years active duty Army then after 12 years out decided to join the Air National Guard here in Jersey. So if Kim and I are out of place let us know. We are about 10 miles out of Ft. Dix/McGuire and really enjoy roughing it in the motor home. After joining the Army and my shelter half had snaps with my "Ranger" buddy having buttons I decided the Air Force must have better living conditions. We're not retired so we don't have the flexibility yet in our lives to pick and go but we look forward to that day. Currently we just take "mini" trips. We're trying to get together with groups of people that enjoy the simple things of getting together, eating good food and relaxing with a beverage over a camp fire. Hope to meet you all if you're in the area or we happen to be in the area. Thanks.

Hello! Carol (TSgt) & Ernie (MSgt) retired here. I retired in 1988, after 20 years in the medical field, first 4 as a medic and last 16 as a pharmacy technician. Carol retired in 2001 and was a medic for her 20 years, retiring as NCOIC Allergy/Immunology Clinic, Elmendorf AFB, AK. Sold our house in 2006 to start full timing, but her Grandfather got to be more than her mother could handle, so we've been in the Florida Panhandle helping to care for him. He passed away last month and as soon as we can get some bills paid off, we are going to head off again full timing!

Need some feedback! What are you thoughts of a Famcamp here at Dyess AFB, Texas? Right in the heart of Texas in the middle of I20? We have the final evaluation team coming in and we want to give them some comments from those that travel and use the Famcamps... yes, I am a RVer, but I live here!

Also, can anyone give me some tips or point me in the right direction regarding internet service. I currently use Clearwire, but they are not set-up yet in the San Antonio area. Since I live by the internet, I need something good and reliable for a short-term, 4-6 months. Thanks, again! Claudia
