Discussions from Quilting on The Road

Thanks for the quick reply, Jim! Sounds interesting. Of course, anything with quilting has my interest. We are in Key West for the winter. Our plans are to explore the east coast this spring and summer. Maybe I will be able to see some of the Quilt Barns if we go inland to see the mountains. We have had similar problems with our 38 ft motorhome being too long. I have started looking online. I was surprised at the return search results. There is a lot of info and I have never heard of this until today. I'll have to add this information to my next blog and see if any of my quilting friends have heard of the Quilt Barn Tours. Gina has probably seen this blog on Quilt Barns, but just in case she has not seen it: http://americanquilttrail.blogspot.com Safe Travels, Sandy

Today we put up the wall quilt completed to cover our trip in 2008 to Glacier National Park. Made it using digital pictures we took during the trip. Printed them on special material bought at a Jo Ann fabric. Put it on the one vacant wall in the spare room of the stick house.

Made a fall three dimensional table topper that was seen in a magazine. Fall leaves and acorns. Turned out pretty good for not having any pattern. Local Relay For Life asked for a T-Shirt quilt (past year t-shirts) which is now ready to be bound. Had to learn how to do the t-shirt material so it would not stretch.

It's exciting when a group gets together. You can send the squares to 5235 Mission Oaks Blvd 307, Camarillo, CA 93012. I will construct the top and quilt for deliver. Can someone make the pillow case for presentation? Let's complete it by November end?
