It's been a while, back to riding.

It's been a while since I've posted...busy! I work over in the El Centro, Ca area and it has just been too hot to ride. I pretty much parked the scooter around the end of June and just fired it back up about a week ago. With the temps holding between 100 and and 118, it was like riding in a furnace. I have climatized quite a bit and the 105 temps don't bother me near as much so I'm back to riding again.

What have you done all summer?

Have to agree with you about summertime riding, here in Kentucky the heat was much the same, high 90s with 80% humidity most of the summer months, very uncomfortable to ride. The wife and I sort of made up for it later in the Fall, loaded down the Gold Wing and rode it to the Keys and back in November. Great trip. In October we went on a 5 day ride through the Blue Ridge Parkway, absolutely beautiful. We are now planning a trip up the East coast, using an enclosed cargo trailer to carry the bike and "stuff" and using the trailer as a base camper for overnight stays. Have it somewhat fixed up with a/c, refer, porta-john, sleeping bags, etc...Love this cooler weather biking/camping.
