We arrived on a Saturday. Fortunately we had arrived early and with a reservation as we got the last available slot. Soon after our arrival, two more campers with reservations arrived but no spots for them to stay. As people started getting ticked off, I drove to Outdoor Rec to see what was up. The customer service guy was in his car, headed home for the day. After a lot of chiding, he relented and came out to the campground. Freeloaders were in spots preventing those with reservations from staying. He didn't want to kick them out because he didn't want to encounter them. Argh! Reservations are accepted but you have to find your own spot, if available. Poor Outdoor Rec operation clouds everything good about this place. Computers are down now for at least 3 weeks. Frequent power outages. Pretty much a typical USAF operation now-a-days. Sad how we continue to let our facilities deteriorate while we continue giving plenty of handouts to those too lazy to find work. This morning guys were out shooting off fireworks trying to scare birds out of the "lake" (pond) that is almost dry. What a joke.
